There is some pain involved but generally the pain is minimal. Some people handle pain better than others. The pain you feel will also depend upon where you are getting tattooed. Some areas, like the feet, are more sensitive than other areas of the body.
How much does it cost to get a tattoo?
We have a minimum charge of fifty dollars. All of our artists do custom work and the average charge is about one $150 per hour. If you are getting something like a full back tattoo we will set one price per session until the tattoo is complete. Price should not be your determining factor when choosing a tattoo. This is not a bag of chips and soda that will be gone in an hour. This is a custom piece of artwork that will be with you the rest of your life. So choose your artist not based on price, but based on his/her work.
Should you tip a Tattoo Artist?
There is no hard and fast rule on tips for your tattoo artist. If your tattoo artist has gone out of their way for you, or given you something totally unique and sweet, than by all means, feel free to tip them. A typical tip would be about 10% of the cost of the tattoo.
